The buyer has two fundamental obligations: to pay the purchase price and to take delivery of the item.

The buyer must pay the purchase price at the time and place specified in the contract. If no specific agreement exists or customary practice dictates otherwise, the price must be paid upon delivery at the place where the item is handed over. If the purchase price does not have to be paid upon delivery, it must be paid at the seller’s residence or place of business.229

The buyer must also take delivery of the item, which includes performing the necessary actions to make the delivery possible and physically taking possession of the item. If the buyer unjustifiably refuses to accept an item that has been duly and in a timely way offered for delivery in the agreed or customary manner, the seller may withdraw from the contract if they have reasonable doubts that the buyer will pay the purchase price.230
