The contractor must complete the work as agreed and in accordance with industry standards. It must be completed within the specified time; if no time frame is agreed upon, it must be done within a reasonable period for such tasks.259

The contractor is obliged to warn the client about defects in the material provided by the client that they have noticed or should have noticed; otherwise, they are liable for damages.260

It should be emphasised that the fulfilment of the contractor’s obligation is generally not personal, meaning subcontracting is permitted. An exception would apply if the contract or the nature of the work indicated otherwise. On the other hand, the contractor is responsible for persons working on the task under their orders as if they had performed the work themselves.

The contractor is obliged to deliver the completed or repaired item to the client.261
