Everyone is obliged to refrain from actions that could cause harm to another.62 This principle dictates that no person may intentionally or negligently cause damage to another. It protects the rights and interests of individuals and promotes responsible conduct in all obligations relationships, for which diligence and respect for the rights of others are crucial. This constitutes a general prohibition on causing harm to others, while also establishing the obligation of the party responsible for the harm to compensate for the damage, and the right of the injured party to seek compensation from the person liable for the damage.63
